Michel & Elisabeth have had a lifelong commitment to good food. Originally from central Europe, they have specialised in bringing the flavour & techniques of traditional french & german cuisine to Sydney for over three decades. Michel trained as a pastry chef in his native France. In 1964, he moved to Sydney where he started at Le Trianon - a top restaurant in 60's. Elisabeth helped in her parent's restaurant & patisseries at home in Germany - you could say that hospitality is in her blood. Together, Michel & Elisabeth have combined their talent to bring good food & hospitality to Sydney. They owned La Petite Lorraine in St Ives for 18 years before deciding to move to the Inner West. Their Drummoyne store opened in 2004 and due to its success, Rozelle followed in 2007. Both stores offer the food that Michel & Elisabeth grew up on - strudels, french pastries and home cooked meals, such as coq au vin, duck al'orange, boeuf bourgignon. Their aim is simply to let their customers experience the authentic taste & atmosphere of central Europe, which they love themselves so much.
